QR code activation, step by step
A QR code is just the activation link in a form your phone camera can read. Scanning skips all the typing.
- Open your phone camera (or a QR scanner) and point it at the code on the TV. A notification or link appears.
- Tap the link. It opens the service's official activation page in your browser.
- Sign in if you are not already signed in on your phone.
- Confirm. The TV finishes sign-in automatically.
Staying safe while scanning
- Only scan a QR code shown on your own device's screen — never one sent by a stranger or printed on a flyer claiming to "activate" your account.
- Before you sign in, glance at the web address the link opened. It should be the service's official domain.
Most modern phones scan QR codes with the normal camera app — no extra app needed. If nothing happens, make sure "scan QR codes" is enabled in your camera settings.
Frequently asked questions
My camera will not scan the QR code.
Enable QR scanning in your camera settings, clean the lens, and move closer. You can also use a free QR scanner app.
Is scanning a QR code to activate safe?
Yes, when the QR code is shown on your own device. Check the web address it opens before signing in, and never scan activation QR codes sent by someone else.
